Slides & Polkas: Cuz Teahan's #1/Cuz Teahan's #2/Máirtín O'Connor's/The Ballydesmond/Jessica's Polka (all trad.)

Terry Teahan was a well known accordion player and composer of tunes from the Sliabh Luachra area of Kerry. He emigrated to Chicago in 1928 and became a mainstay in the city’s Irish cultural scene. When fellow Irishmen arrived in town, he was quick to help them find work, advising them to “tell them I’m your cousin”, earning him the nickname “Cuz”. We then transition into three polkas; Ellie wouldn’t record the album without them, and we’re glad she put her foot down!
